‘Bhool Chuk Maaf’ beats ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video ’ to become Rajkummar Rao’s 4th biggest film

Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi continue their impressive box office streak with Bhool Chuk Maaf. The film, which hit theatres last Friday, has now officially surpassed the lifetime collection of Rajkummar and Triptii Dimri’s Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, becoming Rajkummar’s fourth highest-grossing Hindi film to date.

In its first seven days, Bhool Chuk Maaf has collected Rs 44 crore at the Indian box office, inching past Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, which had wrapped its run at Rs 42.09 crore. What makes this feat even more noteworthy is the consistency shown by Bhool Chuk Maaf through the weekdays after a solid weekend.

The film opened to Rs 7 crore on its first Friday, picked up momentum over the weekend with Rs 9.5 crore on Saturday and Rs 11.5 crore on Sunday. While the usual Monday drop saw collections dip to Rs 4.5 crore, it managed to hold steady on Tuesday at Rs 4.75 crore. Wednesday and Thursday brought in Rs 3.5 crore and Rs 3.25 crore respectively, taking its 7-day total to Rs 44 crore.

With this, Bhool Chuk Maaf has climbed up Rajkummar Rao’s personal box office chart. Topping the list is Stree 2, the horror-comedy sequel which stunned the trade with Rs 597.99 crore in India. It’s followed by the original Stree at Rs 129.83 crore, and Srikanth—the biopic on Srikanth Bolla—at Rs 48.07 crore. Bhool Chuk Maaf now sits at number four, leaving Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video behind.The highest ranking Bhool Chuk Maaf can achieve in the 3rd spot as the film which was involved in a controversy recently will be soon available on OTT platform thus cutting it’s theatrical run short. And with it’s first week performance it anyways looked unlikely that the film would have crossed the Rs 100 crore mark to challenge Stree for the second spot.


The success of Bhool Chuk Maaf is a testament to Rajkummar Rao’s ability to headline films across genres. While the actor has made a name for himself in content-driven cinema, his recent choices reflect a smart blend of mass appeal and strong narratives. The positive word of mouth and Rao’s consistent fanbase have played a key role in the film’s performance, especially in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.

As the film heads into its second weekend, trade predict it might cross the Rs 50 crore mark, further consolidating its position. This marks Rajkummar’s third consecutive successful outing after Srikanth and Stree 2, making 2024 and 2025 a memorable period for the versatile actor. He also has Maalik, directed by Pulkit lined up for release in the next few months- it is going to be his first out and out actioner.
