Ajay Devgn is back with his latest directorial offering Bholaa which has taken a fair opening at the box office. The movie, which also sees him as the lead actor along with Tabu, Raai Laxmi, Amala Paul among others, has managed to put up a decent total on the first day of its theatrical release.
According to Box Office India, Bholaa had opened to low response in the morning shows, however, it managed to perform better in mass pockets. Despite weak performance in major cities like Mumbai and Delhi along with South regions, Bholaa has minted around Rs 10 crore nett plus, thanks to the Ram Navami holiday in some parts of the country.
The report says that Bholaa's opening graph is quite similar to Akshay Kumar's Samraat Prithviraj which had released last year. The movie has surely fallen short of expectations and early estimations where trade pundits had predicted Bholaa to at least have a Rs 14-15 crore nett opening.
It remains to be seen how Bholaa performs in the Hindi circuits over its opening weekend. The movie should witness a boost in its collection to sustain and put up a decent first week collection. The film is expected to benefit from a number of holidays over the Ramadan period.
