'Begum Jaan' Box Office collection Week 1

' has collected around Rs.15.50 crore in the first week of its release, reports Boxofficeindia.com.

'Begum Jaan', directed by Srijit Mukherji, is an adaptation of the Bengali film 'Rajkahini'. It delves into the lives of eleven women living in a brothel that finds itself divided by the newly-chalked LOC, with half of the house in India and the other half in Pakistan post-Partition.

The film boasts of a strong ensemble cast with names like Gauahar Khan, Pallavi Sharda, Ila Arun, Pitobash, Chunky Pandey, Vivek Mushran, Ashish Vidyarthi, Pitobash Tripathy, Rajit Kapoor and Naseeruddin Shah adorning the screen.
