'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' box-office collection Day 3: Shree Narayan Singh's film starring Shahid Kapoor collects Rs 8 crore

After giving a stellar performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmaavat', Shahid Kapoor is back on the silver screen with Shree Narayan Singh's 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu'.
The film has managed to get a mixed review from the audience as well a the critics and after a slow start, the film has seen a slight rise in its collection at the ticket counter. According to a recent report on BoxOfficeIndia.com, 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' has collected another Rs 8 crore on its third day which has taken its total collection to a total of Rs 21.50 crore.
The social issue based drama which is based in Uttarakhand and speaks about the electricity bills in the rural areas also stars Shraddha Kapoor and Divyendu Sharma apart from Shahid.
