On its opening day (Friday), the film amassed Rs 40 lakh in India. However, on the second day, it witnessed a surge in earnings, collecting an estimated Rs 75 crore nett. Cumulatively, the film has grossed Rs 1.15 crore in India so far. Led by actor Adah Sharma, the movie delves into the Naxal insurgency in Chhattisgarh's Bastar district, portraying her as an IPS officer.

Vipul, quoted by news agency PTI, emphasized their focus on human tragedy over politics, stating, “We didn't want to get into politics. We want to explore human tragedy. All politics is on one side and real sufferers are the common people. When will their pain come out in front of people? We usually swear at politicians and leave the issue but this real human tragedy needs to come forward.”

Sudipto described the film as a "human document," emphasizing their focus on individuals enduring daily violence. He elaborated, stating, “We are focusing on the people who are facing violence on an everyday basis... It is more about gun violence which we have concentrated on in the film.”
