‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ box-office collection Day 9

Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt-starrer ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ is currently in its second week. The romantic drama earned Rs 5.75 crore (nett) on Saturday, thus taking the total collection to Rs 81.52 crore, according to a report on Boxofficeindia.com.
‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ garnered approximately Rs 71.77 crore in its first week. The film maintained its steady pace in its second week too, as it saw collections to the tune of Rs 4 crore on its second Friday.Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and directed by Shashank Khaitan, the film enjoyed the advantage of a holiday on Monday, thanks to the festival of Holi.

Besides being a love story, ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ also deals with the evils of a regressive society in north India, and touches upon the subjects of dowry and patriarchy. With this film, Varun and Alia have sealed their position as one of the most loved on-screen jodis of Bollywood. The duo has earlier worked in hits like ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ and ‘Student Of The Year’.
