Varun Dhawan's action film 'Baby John' had a strong start with a double-digit opening day but quickly lost momentum. Over the past seven days, its box office performance has dropped, reaching a modest total of over Rs 30 crore.
According to Sacnilk, Baby John has earned Rs 32.31 crore (nett) so far. The action thriller has been struggling at the box office for seven days since its release. On the seventh day, it made around Rs 1.81 crore (nett) in India, based on early estimates.
Baby John was released on December 25. On its opening day, it earned Rs 11.25 crore. However, the film saw a decline on the second day, earning Rs 4.75 crore, which was a 57.78 percent drop compared to the first day.
The film has experienced a steady decline in box office collections since its release. On day 6, it earned Rs 1.85 crore, marking a 61.05 percent drop compared to the previous day. On December 31, the film had an overall occupancy of 10.68 percent in Hindi.
Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule continues to perform well at the box office, nearing Aamir Khan's Dangal's all-time record. The film has earned Rs 1760 crore within 25 days of its release, with Dangal's worldwide gross standing at Rs 2070.3 crore.
The film also stars Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, Jackie Shroff, and Rajpal Yadav, alongside Varun Dhawan. Superstar Salman Khan makes a special appearance in this action-thriller, directed by Kalees and produced by Atlee, known for Jawan.
The film follows the story of a police officer who goes into hiding to protect his daughter but must confront his past when her life is at risk. A remake of Theri, which starred Vijay, the film received a mixed response and did not perform as expected at the box office.
