This Friday saw two big releases,
Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Lal Kaptaan’ and Hollywood film ‘Maleficent - Mistress Of Evil’ which featured
Angelina Jolie as the lead. However both the films received a poor response at the
box office
and out of these two,
Maleficent
bagged the top figures.
According to Boxofficeindia.com, Saif Ali Khan’s thriller ‘Lal Kaptaan’ earned the maximum amongst other Hindi releases like ‘Ghost’ and ‘P Se Pyaar F Se Farraar’. ‘Lal Kaptaan’ made Rs 50 lakh on its opening day while ‘Maleficent - Mistress Of Evil’ pocketed a little more with Rs 70 lakh. Another Friday release ‘P Se Pyaar F Se Farraar’ collected Rs 20 lakh on its first day, but it already had block bookings of Rs 10 prior to its release. According to the report, ‘Lal Kaptaan’ and ‘Maleficent’ may record a growth in collections on Saturday, but don’t stand a good chance to earn big. Here are all the first day collections of films which released last Friday.

Lal Kaptaan - 50,00,000 apprx

P Se Pyaar F Se Farraar - 20,00,000 apprx
Additionally, movies like ‘Gumnaami’, ‘Jacqueline Iam Coming’, ‘Junction Varanasi’, ‘Life Mein Time Nahi Hai Kisi Ko’, ‘Officer Arjun Singh IPS’ and Yaaram made collections in the 0-3 lakh nett range.
