'Aiyaary' box-office collection Day 2: Sidharth Malhotra-Manoj Bajpayee starrer earns estimated Rs 4.25 crore

‘Aiyaary’, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee in lead roles, has shown steady growth at the domestic box-office. The gripping crime thriller directed by Neeraj Pandey, has collected an estimated Rs 4.25 crore at the ticket window on Saturday, states a report on BoxofficeIndia.com.

The film, that postponed its release several times to avoid clashing with ‘Padmaavat’ and ‘PadMan’, finally released on Feb 16 and earned an estimated Rs 3.25 crore on its opening day. Its total now stands at Rs 7.50 crore approx.

’ tells the story of an Indian Army officer who is compelled to chase down his protege when the latter turns rogue and threatens to disrupt the country’s government and army. Reportedly based on the popular Adarsh Society Scam, the film stars Rakul Preet Singh as the female lead besides Pooja Chopra, Adil Hussain, Kumud Mishra, Naseeruddin Shah and Anupam Kher in prominent roles.
