A Gentleman’ box office collection Day 1: The Sidharth Malhotra - Jacqueline Fernandez film opens at around Rs 3.75 crore

Jacqueline Fernandez and Sidharth Malhotra’s action-comedy ‘A Gentleman’ which goes by the tagline ‘Sundar Susheel Risky’, has opened to a warm response at the box-office. The film recorded an opening of around Rs 3.75 crore on the day of its release, as reported by Boxofficeindia.com.

Directed by director-duo Raj & D. K the film stars Sidharth Malhotra in a double role – the gentleman Gaurav and risky Rishi.Jacqueline plays the role of the leading lady Kavya in the film who likes men with a ‘risky’ attitude towards life.
While Sidharth has worked hard on his physique for the character, the adventure lover has also performed several gravity-defying action scenes including urban rappelling. He has also done a lot of hand-to-hand combat with help of Hollywood action choreographer Cyrill Raffaelli. Not only this, Sidharth also turned a rapper for the first time and has rapped his lines in the song ‘Bandook Meri Laila’ which has a very modern style appeal to it.

On the other hand, Jacqueline learnt pole-dancing for the film and can be seen displaying her art in the karaoke song ‘Chandralekha’. Sidharth and Jacqueline were also seen shaking a leg together in the dance number ‘Disco Disco’ whereas their romantic chic song on the beach ‘Baat Ban Jaye’ has enough to make the viewers pack their bags for an exotic vacation.
