'2.0' box-office collection Day 18: Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar's film continues to impress

After a long wait, Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar's film '2.0' released on November 29 and received a tremendous response from the audience as well as the critics. The sequel to 2010 hit film '

Enthiran

' has Rajinikanth reprising his roles of Dr Vaseegaran and Chitti from the previous film.

According to the recent reports on Boxofficeindia.com, the action-sci-fi film which is helmed by S. Shankar has managed to earn another Rs 2.75 crore at the box-office which has helped the film's total collection reach a stupendous figure of Rs 181 crore.


The film which is touted as the costliest film in the history of Indian cinema with a budget of more than Rs 500 crore has even raked in a huge amount from its satellite rights and other revenues sources look to be on a juggernaut run.

Apart from Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar the film also stars Amy Jackson, Adil Hussain, Sudhanshu Pandey in significant roles. Even though the storyline of the film was criticised, the VFX effects have swept away the audience as well as the critics.
