'1921' box-office collection Day 5: Vikram Bhatt film mints Rs 1.25 crore

Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt is back with another spookfest in the '1920' series, titled '1921', starring Zareen Khan and Karan Kundrra in pivotal roles.

According to reports on BoxofficeIndia.com, the film has minted Rs 1.25 crore on its fifth day at the box-office, thus taking its overall total collection to Rs 9 crore.

Based in the year 1921, the film deals with the battle Ayush (Karan) and Rose (Zarine) have with a cursed spirit that would lead them to their ultimate redemption or downfall. For Zarine, this is her first horror film while Karan has earlier worked with Vikram in the 2012 film, 'Horror Story'.

Shot extensively in the United Kingdom, the film's cinematography has been a plus point. Even superstar Salman Khan had promoted the film and wished Zarine the best of luck for the film's success.
