Abhilash Thapliyal revisits childhood memories of Jaipur

Actor Abhilash Thapliyal, who rose to fame with his amazing acting in movies like Maidaan and Faadu recently visited the Pink City Jaipur to recreate childhood memories. He visited places like Hawamahal, Johri Bazar and more. Being an army kid, Abhilash has spent a good amount of his formative years in Jaipur's Cant area. He shares, "Every time I cross the Khatipura road, it gives me a major flashback of memories, as the city is like a second home to me."

Taking a trip down the memory lane, Abhilash re-collects the vibe of Jaipur during the festival of Makar Sankranti. He says, "I loved celebrating the Makara Sankranti festival in Jaipur when the skies use to be filled with kites. I love Ghewar and authentic flavours of 'Gatte Ki Sabzi' too is one that tops my list. Whenever I visit the city, I would keep asking my friends and colleagues for newer joints that would serve delectable Laal Maas." When asked to compare the vibe-check of Jaipur and Mumbai, Abhilash happens to have different outlooks towards both the cities. However, he does feel that Jaipur has more Sukoon! When asked about his favorite childhood spotting, the actor recollects the memories of buying winter clothes from the Tibetan market that was put up near the Chaugan stadium. It is one of the memories that he will cherish for the rest of his life.


Known for his roles in movies like Kennedy and Blurr, he excitedly waiting for an upcoming project that he might start shooting for during the year end. While talking about his experience with ace director Anurag Kashyap for 'Kennedy', the actor happens to mention that he is still in deciphering how he happened to bag the role and why Anurag chose him. Working with a director like Kashyap is indeed a big deal and his experience is no different from any other actor. Abhilash also mentioned how sweet and open to ideas and experiments Anurag K is on the sets. So, collaborating with him for Kennedy was definitely an amazing experience, and he hopes the movie is out soon for the public to watch.
