Gurugram art exhibition to explore contemporary art and its nuances

An art exhibition titled Beyond the Surface: A Journey through Form and Abstraction, that explores contemporary art and its nuances is soon going to take place in Gurugram. The idea is to explore corporeal and abstract elements that intersect each other to challenge viewers to look beyond initial impression

Featuring works of artists Vinod Daroz, Somu Desai, Himanshu Joshi, Tapas Biswas, Gaurishankar Soni and Bhuwal Prasad, the exhibition will feature a diverse range of artistic approaches that push boundaries of various media, inviting a deeper engagement with the complexities of each piece.
While Vinod Diroz is known for his ceramic artwork that explored the theme of sacred union, Somu Desai’s metallic pieces reflect on societal facades. It’s all about intricate fractal digital prints for Himanshu Joshi, mixed-media compositions that reimagine urban consciousness for Tapas Biswas, mixed-media sculptures for Gaurishankar Soni and tribal-inspired abstractions for Bhuwal Prasad.

Organised by Eikowa Contemporary, the exhibiton is set to take place between September 13 and 30, and aims to prompt a reconsideration of the relationship between surface and substance art, encouraging a more profound interaction with the narratives and emotions conveyed through abstraction and materiality.
