‘Master Stroke’: A play about court, conspiracy and custody
A still from 'Master Stroke'
Directed by Feiroz Bhagat, ‘Master Stroke’ is a play about court, custody and conspiracy. It revolves around the life of Siddhant Adhikari (played by Feiroz), a separated 60-year-old retired lawyer who has lived peacefully with his grandson Yash for almost 10 years even as Yash’s parents Avinash and Shefali Adhikari pursued their career as they had no intention to raise their son.
Life is smooth until one day when Mansi Jobanputra, a legal advisor of Shefali's mother convinces Shefali to move to London along with her husband and child so she can take over all their assets for reasons best known to her.
But Siddhant is aware that Avinash and Shefali are incompetent to handle a child and are only interested in money and other materialistic things. The matter is then dragged into a court and Siddhant must fight for the custody of the only person he loves. While he is on the verge to win the case, there comes in a twist where Yash’s parents get his custody.
Apart from Feiroz, the play stars Ragini Shah, Kausambi Bhatt, Mayur Bhavsar, Prithvi Pancholi among others. The play will be staged at Nehru Centre, Worli, this Sunday.
