breathed his last on Wednesday morning.
Talking to Ahmedabad Times, actress
Netri Trivedi, said, “He has produced and acted in many plays. He was very good at comedy. I remember watching him in so many TV serials as a child. May his soul rest in peace.”
Ventilator, Kulfi Kumar Bajewala and Amruta Gandhi Not Guilty actor Mehul Buch who has ac ted with Dinyar in Gujarati play Amara Jeva Koi Nahi posted on social media, “Theatre lost its laughter. Will miss the super time spent with you Dinyarbhai. Now God can’t stop laughing for sure. May his soul rest in peace.”
Reminiscing, actor and lyricist Mayur Puri too paid his tribute, “
Bhai ne agali wali best seat aapo!’, he (Dinyar) said. I felt so special that I couldn’t say I couldn’t afford the front row seats. Dinyarbhai was smiling at Ulka (Mayur’s wife) and then at me. That was the only time I have met him in my life. He was a fire on stage.”
102 Not Out actor Jimit Trivedi tweeted, “Never got a chance to meet Dinyar uncle, never got a chance to work with him. But always heard good and funny things about him. May be in my next birth, till then you rest in laughter.”
Filmmaker Dakxin Bajrangi said, “Some people just visit us, make us happy, spread smile and live in people’s memory and inspiration.
Padma Shri Dinyarbhai was one such soul. His performances have immortalised him. Rest in peace with smile, Dinyarbhai”
Several other public figures too paid their tribute to the artist. Dinyar, who was awarded Padma Shri this year, will continue to live in people’s hearts and smile with his acting legacy.
