Legendary Bollywood playback singers who sang for Gujarati films

The Bollywood music industry is increasingly showing interest in the Dhollywood industry. Most recently, Sunidhi Chauhan made her Gujarati debut with the film 'Ratanpur' in which she sang 'Ude Ajje'. Many Bollywood playback singers have happily embraced the Dhollywood style, and here is the list of the most popular Bollywood playback singers who sang for Gujarati films.

After winning several music awards for the best female playback singing such as National Awards, multiple Filmfare Awards -- Alka Yagnik has been a part of the Gujarati film industry for three decades and has been known for her best romantic Gujarati tracks. Her last song was 'Kalja No Katko' from the social comedy film 'Carry on Kesar' in 2017.

Hemlata has given a number of super hit songs for Bollywood, as well as for the Gujarati film industry since the late 1970s. Some of her famous Gujarati film tracks include 'Shankar Tari Jatama' and 'Om Namah Shivaye from the 1981 movie 'Amar Rahe Taro Chandlo'.

Within a short span of time, Arijit Singh has picked up so many awards and honours. Arjit made his debut in the Gujarati film industry with the track 'Satrangi Re' from the movie 'Wrong Side Raju'. The soulful song sung by Arijit Singh was created by the well-known music composer duo Sachin-Jigar.
