Debutant directors to look out for in 2015

Shital Shah: Telly actress Shital Shah now makes her debut as a director of an upcoming Gujarati movie - Hu Tu Tu Tu. Ahmedabad-based Shital recently did the muhurat of the film and started shooting.

Vijaygiri Goswami: After making waves at a number of film festivals with his short film - Amdavadi Mijaj, Vijaygiri is now in news for making his directorial debut with the film - Premji: Rise of a Warrior. The movie also boasts of a number of other newcomers in Gujarati cinema, including Bollywood actor Abhimanyu Singh.

Dhwani Gautam: Having spent nine years in showbiz - both as an actor and as an assitant director, Dhwani is now set to make his directorial debut in Gujarati cinema with the rom-com - Romance Complicated. The movie also brings together artists from different mediums - including singers like Neeti Mohan and Rashid Ali who will make their singing debut in Gujarati, as well as lead actress Divya Misra, a Delhi-based model.

Tapan Vyas: He has directed ad films and has a degree in filmmaking from a prestigious institute. And now, Tapan is all set to take Dhollywood by storm with his directorial debut Paaghadi. The multi-cast movie boasts of a unique storyline and will surely take audiences on a roller coaster ride.

Kirtan Patel: The movie will mark the directorial debut of Kirtan Patel. What's more, popular Hindi entertainment names like Aditya Kapadia (of Shaka Laka Boom Boom fame) and Mushtaq Khan will also make their Gujarati movie debut.
