feels that music has an important role to play in not only promoting the film, but also taking the film reach a wider audience. His film Tari Maate Once More, that has two songs written in Hindi -
Mango Tango
and Tere Bin are a result of this thought.
He says, "Songs help reach out to a wider audience. Today, a Gujarati movie audience is not only restricted to Gujaratis. A lot of non Gujaratis also watch our films in the theaters and if there are Hindi songs in the film they help creating a stronger connect with non Gujaratis."
He also feels that such songs then extend the reach of the film through music channels and digital media platforms as people from other states can too listen to them. "If you have a Hindi song in your film, you can strike a deal with music channels who will play them on national television helping us reach many more people. Also, with music now being consumed on digital platforms, we can also target people from a varied background."
And for this particular reason, multilingual songs are a hit with Gujarati filmmakers.
