Ishani Dave
recently released a song on the
Independence Day that she dedicated to prominent Gujarati writer Jhaverchand Meghani titled
Zanda Vandan
. The song also features other prominent singers like
Sachin Sanghvi,
Bhoomi Trivedi
and Hardik Dave. It is a part of a series Prafull Dave plans to produce where he will be recording several other songs written by Jhaverchand Meghani.
Talking about the song, Ishani says, “It is a dedication to one of the most celebrated Gujarati writer Jhaverchand Meghani and we plan to produce several other songs that he has written and composed in the near future. This particular song was shot in just 24 hours and all the artistes shot it from their respective homes and then the videos were stitched together to create the video.”
This Independence Day, several Gujarati musicians including Aditya Gadhavi, Shounak Vyas, Arvind Vegda etc released special patriotic songs to celebrate the day and Zanda Vandan was one of them. “I want to thank Sachin Sanghvi and Bhoomi Trivedi who agreed to lend their voice for the song. It is really close to my heart as it aptly captures the patriotic emotions. We took special care while making the song that we did justice to it and while recreated the composition we still retained the essence of the song,” says Ishani.
Recreating such songs will help bringing old classic Gujarati songs to the popular arena, believes Ishani. “There are several amazing Gujarati songs that have been written by prominent writers, but they are not known by today’s audience. Recreating those song will help keep the traditional and classic songs alive,” says Ishani.
