, on being asked if she wants to make music for her mother tongue Gujarati replies, “Absolutely, I love Gujarati. At home, we speak in Gujarati only. Even my seven-year-old son only speaks fluent, pure Gujarati when he comes back from school. I strongly believe it is one’s duty and responsibility to hold on to one’s language because once one loses one’s language it’s easy to lose one’s culture.I would love to sing in Gujarati films. It would be an absolute dream come true for me.

musician

anywhere because it is so subjective. When I decided to be a full-time musician I only focused on my riyaz and my practice — rest all fell in its place. I used to practice 16 hours a day at least for 10 years and those were the best years of my life.”
