Winning best film award feels special: Kirtan Patel

2016 couldn’t have started on a better note for Barodian filmmaker Kirtan Patel. His debut Dhollywood film Bas Ek Chance, which starred Bhakti Kubavat and Aditya Kapadia in lead roles, recently won the best film award at the 15th Annual Transmedia Gujarati Screen and Stage Awards, 2015. Says Kirtan, “This feels very special and I am thankful to my entire team, the sponsors and the lovely audience for supporting my dream.I owed this film to my mother tongue. While I was writing the film, there were people who said that I should drop the idea but today, I feel very happy."
