Parth Oza talks about how difficult it was to shoot during the pandemic, and how he felt safe to shoot because of his efficient crew. He shares, “From shooting for music videos and advertisements to shooting for a feature film, I have done them all during the pandemic and the experience has been crazy. Remembering to wear a mask, to wash and sanitise your hands while shooting can get quite tricky as we are so caught up in the shooting.
I had to constantly remind myself to wear a mask when I’m walking around, and to sanitise my hands at regular intervals. Even with my makeup, I would give my brushes to the makeup artist and always ask them to sanitise before they started the makeup. The shooting experience was especially tricky at out station locations, but throughout the experience I had faith on my team and they made sure everyone was safe and felt comfortable on the sets. I have made sure to quarantine myself after every shooting assignment. I generally don’t meet my family now, and even when I do I always wear my mask. My life has become a series of shooting assignments and quarantine periods now. Live performances, although few this year, were quite difficult too because the chance of exposure is more in such a setting. I tried to keep myself as safe as possible and again quarantined myself after every gig to keep my family safe.”
