Understanding the Gujarati viewer's mood is a very difficult task, feels actor turned producer Yagnesh Dave. Yagnesh Dave, who is trying to make a good impression in Dhollywood has his Gujarati big screen offering Aa To Prem Chhe lined up for release soon. The film, which was originally slated for an August 29 release had to wait for the right time.
First, there was no new release owing to the gigantic presence of Ajay Devgn starred Singham Returns, which was released on August 15, compelling Dhollywood to bank upon
Vikram Thakor starrer Patan Thi Pakistan, which was a re-release this year.
Second, a dry run post the festive weekend of Janmashtami was also expected which made production houses refrain from releasing movies with promising movie stars. Third fact is five movie releases on August 29 has many filmmakers push their respective Gujarati outings to later dates.
So, while Hitu Kanodia starrer Vishwasghat is slated for a September 5 release, makers of Aa To Prem Chhe are thinking of a mid September date for the movie release. Says Yagnesh, "Gujarati audience is very discerning. So when there is a select audience watching Gujarati movies, it becomes all the more important to take careful measures to find a suitable release date which can give good number of theatre visits."
