In the recent times, short films have become extremely popular amongst Gujarati young filmmakers, who are now taking the process of filmmaking a lot more seriously.
Most filmmakers see short films as a productive medium of expression where they can experiment as well as express their stories minimum available logistics.
And continuing the trend is Vijaygiri Goswami, and Amdavadi, who recently directed four short films in Gujarati titled Amdavadi Mijaj, @40, Woh Dega and Soul and also organized a screening for all short film lovers of the city.

Vijaygiri, who believes that short films should not only be made to be sent to film festivals, but also to connect with the viewers and send out messages. He says, "Short films are a medium where you can make an effective film without having any stars or big budgets."
