Vav wows rural audiences

The much awaited Gujarati feature film Vav, was released last week and the response has been good so far, stated the director Ashok Patel.
The film revolves around the enmity between two neighbouring villages and how the 'vav' or stepwell saves the residents of the villages and also destroys the enmity and angst. The release date for Vav had been pushed forward multiple times, owing to many reasons, ranging from official to auspicious, however, in the end the rural audiences loved it.
Says Ashok Patel, "I always had faith in the film's story and the way it was shot as well. We had scoured many locations before finalizing on saasu-vahu ni vav. As the film targets rural audiences, we are extremely happy that they have loved it. The response has been good so far."
