Gujarati film Shikaar ready with a sequel

Gujarati movies are experimenting with storylines and genres like never before. And so was the case when a suspense thriller film Shikaar released last year. The movie found an audience in both the young and old. Written and directed by Jakee Patel, the movie also won accolades when it became the first ever Gujarati film to be screened at the prestigious London Film Festival.The film, which was mostly shot in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar in Gujarat, saw actors like Vidisha Purohit, Sunil Pujara, Manoj Parmar, Nayan Thakkar do a phenomenal job, amongst other actors.
The movie, which was touted as one Bollywood style urban suspense thriller in the vernacular language, writer and director Jakee Patel is all set with a sequel to the film. The shooting part of Shikaar 2 being completed already, the movie is in its final stages and is slated to release by the end of May.
