Prime Minister Narendra Modi pays tribute to the late Naresh Kanodia

of Gujarathi cinema, Naresh Kanodia breathed his last today morning after a long battle with COVID-19. The actor was on a ventilator for the past four days at one of the best hospitals in the city of Gujarat. Naresh was a powerhouse of talent and had impressed the masses with his acting skills in many films and became a heartthrob of rural cinema. Many celebrities from the Dhollywood industry expressed their grief through social media. Joining the bandwagon, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed his sincere condolences to the star on his Twitter handle.

Modi Ji tweet: "ગુજરાતી સિનેમાના દિગ્ગજ કલાકાર અને ભૂતપૂર્વ ધારાસભ્ય શ્રી નરેશ કનોડિયાના અવસાનથી વ્યથિત છું. મનોરંજન તથા સમાજસેવાના ક્ષેત્રે એમનું યોગદાન હંમેશા યાદ રહેશે. શોકગ્રસ્ત પરિવાર અને એમના વિશાળ ચાહકવર્ગને સાંત્વના...ઓમ શાંતિ !!". The Prime Minister is deeply saddened by the demise of Shri Naresh Kanodia an actor and also a former MLA. Naresh Ji's work in the

Gujarati cinema

and for social service will be remembered.



Naresh Kanodia starred in many iconic films that include 'Jode Rejo Raj', 'Meru Malan', 'Garavo Gujarati','Rudo Rabari' name a few.

The cremation will take place at Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
