Pratik Gandhi and his wife
Bhamini Oza Gandhi will soon start shooting for a Gujarati film, in which they will be sharing screen space for the first time. Even though the two have worked with each other in plays a couple of times earlier, this is the first time they are doing a film together. And Pratik Gandhi couldn’t be happier. He says, “I am really excited to share screen space with Bhamini.
We have worked together in plays a few times earlier, but it never happened before where we could do a film together. And now that things have worked out, I am really looking forward to start filming.”
If everything goes as planned, the two actors will start shooting for the film in the first week of May. The film is a romantic drama and it will involve several romantic sequences, although not the typical kinds, says Pratik. “It is a romantic film, but not a typical love story. It is very intense and involves a lot of emotions. I hope we are able to do justice to it,” he says. Ask him if he feels excited about romancing with his wife onscreen and he gushes, “The kind of relationship we share, it is very open and I can talk to her about anything. So, I think we will have a lot of exchange of ideas and inputs as the film goes along. It will be a very different experience to be romancing someone I know so well. So, I am really looking forward to it.”
Pratik, who has a lot on his platter in terms of new projects, says that Gujarati films will never take a back seat. “I have a few Bollywood projects in hand, but Gujarati films will never take a back seat for me. Even when I was lining up my upcoming projects, I planned them in such a way that I finish my Gujarati film with Bhamini first,” he says.
