Jayaka Yagnik, who was recently seen in Aapne To Dhirubhai (her second film in Dhollywood), says that the filmmakers need to offer more relevant content on a consistent basis for the industry to do well. Says Jayaka, People rue the fact that Gujarati cinema hasnt progressed as much as it should have, but one of the main reasons behind that is that most of our filmmakers havent changed with the times.
Its like inviting someone for dinner and offering only rotis and salads! Just like you need many more things for the perfect dinner spread, you need a relevant story, good actors and an able director to attract audiences to the theatres. We need to adapt and tell better stories. In Aapne To Dhirubhai, which was directed by Haritrushi Purohit and produced by Mayursinh Jadeja, Jayaka shared screen space with
Vrajesh Hirjee and
Bhakti Rathod.
