Divyang Thakkar, who has done Gujarati plays and played the lead in the Gollywood film Kevi Rite Jaish, says that doing a film in ones mother tongue gives a different kind of high. Says Divyang, I have been doing Gujarati plays for a while but the real big break came when I was selected to play the male lead in Kevi Rite Jaish. There is nothing like doing a film in your mother tongue-it gives you the kind of satisfaction that nothing can match.
I am really grateful to the audiences for the kind of love that they showered upon us for the movie. I think in a way, this film somewhat opened the doors for more Gujarati flicks as far as multiplexes are concerned. I believe that having smart, contemporary scripts can go a long way in improving the state of Gujarati films
