“I still remember the call from a production company for an audition and thinking to myself, maybe there's some misunderstanding there because no one in my family works in this profession, and being on TV is truly a big, beautiful and scary thing, but maybe it's my destiny. But, as dance is my passion, I used to dance in school and college. I did one film before as a dancer called 'Mohan Na Monkeys' so the reference came from there and I had no prior experience with auditions or look tests,” Maulika said.

Elaborating further, the actress further added, “I was there for the daily soap and was not chosen, but after a month or so they called me again for another daily soap titled 'Niharika', and were selected for the same. I was nervous because it was my first acting break, but the guidance from the people around me made it a little easier and more comfortable. I am extremely grateful to Aarti ma'am (

"To learn new approaches, I enrolled in an acting class in Mumbai and studied under Sir Pramod Ghosh. Later, I had the opportunity to star in my first regional Rajasthani film, 'Jeevti Re Beti,' for which I received my first debut award. That evening, I asked myself, "What is going on with me? Everything is changing, is this my world?" Yes, it is my world and then my career begins with so many experiences of happy-sad shocking and many, but I love to be here to be in my world of ‘Roll Camera Action’. I believe in destiny and hard work, and I feel that if God gives you what you deserve, you should keep it. It's like pampering your dreams,” she concluded.
