It’s sure going to be a delight for cinema lovers as two superstars from two different eras –
Hiten Kumar and
Malhar Thakar will soon be seen sharing screen space in the upcoming Gujarati film
Dhuandhaar. Malhar promises it to be a “dhuandhaar” onscreen partnership.
Hiten Kumar, who ruled the BO with some mega blockbusters like
Desh Re Joya Dada Pardesh Joya (one of the biggest BO Gujarati grosser),
Prem Rang,
Kaun Halave Limdi Ne Kaun Jhulave Peelpli etc was also seen in Kangana Ranaut starrer
Simran in 2017.
After attaining superstardom with single screen Gujarati audience in the 90’s, Hiten has, recently moved to doing urban Gujarati films with films like
Chiktar,
Hameer,
Padkar…The Challenge and
Jalsaghar.
Malhar, on the other hand has surpassed the rural-urban divide and enjoyed an envious fan following both among multiplex and single screen going audience. With some of the most successful films like
Chhello Divas, Love Ni Bhavai,
Shu Thayu?, Sharato Lagu to his credit, he has carved a niche for himself in the industry.
And now these two stars will add more vibrancy to the silver screen as they team up for the first time. Talking about the collaboration, Malhar Thakar says, “I am really excited about working with Hiten sir. He is such a senior actor that acting with him would be a huge learning experience for me. We have had discussions about how we are going to approach our roles. He was gracious enough to share how he prepares for his roles and we exchanged ideas, which was a very fulfilling experience for me as an actor. While I am nervous of facing him in front of the camera, I am equally excited.”
