Gujarati play
Lali Lila
, which stars Gujarati actors
Alisha Prajapati and
Tarika Tripathi
, is all set for its 50th show. It will be staged in Ahmedabad on July 5 at Tagore Hall, from 9 pm onwards. The play is adapted from Marathi play
Lali Lila, which is about Siamese twins who are joined to each other from the hipbones. Sharing her happiness, Alisha told us, “We had our last show in Ahmedabad on June 23 and after that, we are performing on July 5. Next, we head to Gandhinagar on July 8. We worked really hard for six months, as it is not easy to play the role of Siamese twins. Tarika and I are supposed to eat, walk, stand and dance together in the whole play, and we hurt ourselves many a times during the rehearsal. I am really glad to play this role, as
Disha Vakani
(Daya of
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah
) was also associated with this play earlier. I am glad that the 50th show in the city will have me and Tarika.”.
The play, which opened in Mumbai last September, will have more shows sometime soon.
Lali Lila will also be traveling to different countries.
