Director Vijaygiri Bava unveiled the title of his forthcoming historical film, 'Kasoombo,' using state-of-the-art drone technology. The grand revelation took place against the backdrop of Shetrunjay's golden hills, adorned with saffron flowers and turbans, making it a momentous occasion on the auspicious day of Dussehra.
Director Vijaygiri Bava, renowned for his unique films like '21st Tiffin,' 'Mahotu,' 'Montu ni Bittu,' and 'Premji: The Rise of a Warrior,' once again distinguished himself with the unique title reveal of his latest creation. The event has garnered widespread attention on social media platforms.
At the historical title launch, director Vijaygiri Bava and his team paid their respects to the sacred monument of 'Dadu Barot,' located at the foothills, by offering flowers. The Shetrunjay Teerthrakshak Vir Shri Dadu Barot Memorial Committee and the local villagers warmly welcomed the film's cast and crew, acknowledging their effort to bring to life the heroic narrative of Shetrunjay, a story lost to time.
The director was lauded for his dedication to showcasing the spirit of their motherland. Subsequently, the entire film team joined the 'Viro ne Vandan Shaurya Yatra.' The people of Palitana and its surroundings enthusiastically participated in the Shaurya Yatra, which traversed various locations, including Bhidbhanjan and Bhairav Chowk. Notably, the event marked the first-ever use of advanced drone technology in the history of Gujarati cinema for the release of the film titled 'Kasoombo.'
'Kasoombo' is scheduled for release on February 16, 2024. The film's storyline draws inspiration from 'Amar Balidaan,' a novel by Vimal Kumar Dhami, with the script penned by Ram Mori and Vijaygiri Bava.
This historical film stars a talented ensemble, including Dharmendra Gohil (Dadu Barot), Darshan Pandya (Allauddin Khalji), Firoz Irani (Visa Bha), Shraddha Dangar (Sujan), Chetan Dhanani (Arjun), Raunaq Kamdar (Amar), and Komal Thakkar (Zubaida), to name a few. Interestingly, the film will be released in Hindi as well.
