Jay Bhatt has gained widespread acclaim for his performance as a teacher in filmmaker
Krishnadev Yagnik's 'Chhello Divas.' The actor is still well-known for his portrayal of a teacher, and viewers recognise him for his presence in real life. ETimes reached out to the actor today, on the occasion of
Guru Purnima Day, and he shared the importance of Guru in life.
Jay expressed, "I believe Gurus come in the form of friends, family, teachers, professors, mentors, etc.
Every one of their teachings is mostly overlooked until later in life when their teachings come back as saviours in one form or another."
"Friends and Family have been my constant guidance and support system. Their push has always motivated me to try, fail, and learn. In my schooling years, I’ve learned a lot through academics and other values imparted by my teachers and professors. While working, I’ve been blessed to have mentors who were always eager to pass on their knowledge, learning, and experiences for me to achieve more than they did. As everyone does, the not-so-good experiences taught me resilience and adaptability, and the good experiences motivated me further in setting up goals and pursuing them," he added.
"I was fortunate to be a trainer off-screen during my corporate stint, played a teacher on screen for a film, and am currently training aspiring writers, thus walking the similar path my Gurus did, and as they say, life always comes full circle. Kings are so many, but kingmakers are very few, and Gurus are the true kingmakers. Happy Gurupurnima to all," the actor wished.
