When AT connected with Gilatar, he shared, "I still remember how affable Karnadji was during narration of the movie. I am deeply saddened by the news of his demise. It is tough for me to accept this news." He went on to add, "I consider myself lucky to have worked with him in Chalk n Duster. Inspite of his vast and enriched experience, he was a humble, punctual and rooted person. Talking to him was a pure delight as it enlightened me in totality. In true sense, Karnadji was a director's actor — he totally surrendered himself to the direction I suggested for filming. May his soul rest in peace."
