Versatile actor Aditya Lakhia, who played the role of the unforgettable Kachra in

and recently played an important role in the Gujarati film

Bhanwar

, has now turned producer with a Gujarati film. Lakhia, who has also done Gujarati TV shows like

Parivartan

and Jackpot in the past, has turned producer with the Gujarati film

Khape

. Talking about the film, he shares, “It is my first Gujarati film as a producer. We shot extensively in Nakhatrana, which is about 50 kilometres ahead of Bhuj. I also play an important role in this film, which is based on a true story about how an eight-year-old boy gathers the courage to fight corruption and take on the system.”

He adds, “I have made sure that we do not compromise on any technical aspect. My film has been edited by Ballu Saluja, who has edited some of the biggest Bollywood blockbusters over the years. For cinematography, we got our DoP (director of photography) from Sweden because someone from abroad will have a whole new perspective about how to capture the beauty of Kutch.”
