On a hot summer afternoon, we caught up with Malhar Thakar as he was shooting for his upcoming

movie

in a school premise close to our office.
As Malhar, who is debuting as a producer with this movie waited for his coffee while shooting for a serious scene, we found him at his cheerful best. Talking about how this movie is close to his heart, he said, “I am trying to break my stereotypical image with upcoming movies, especially Saheb with Kinjal Rajpriya and an untitled one with Deeksha Joshi. I need to explore varied characters and push my creative boundaries.”

Talking about Saheb, he said, “It is an important project because I have stepped into the shoes of a producer with it and I am learning a lot.” He said that he has to wrap up the work by July as he has to travel abroad for official reasons. On how is he managing his work schedule with three movies in this scorching

, he says, “Havey toh amey badha habituate thayi gaya chhiye. Only issue is, with three movies in my kitty and some sequence pending in one or the other, I end up working at least 16-18 hours a day. I am hardly getting three-four hours of sleep.” When we asked is it the reason behind his weight loss, he quips, “Actually, it’s both work stress and diet. I am glad that I have lost a little weight.”
