Summer is here and so is the rise in perspiration. While applying a deodorant or fragrance while heading out for a two to three hour hang out with friends is not a big task, one should choose the same mindfully for office.

Office policy
Perfumes are not just about smelling good but also tell a lot about your personality. While some fragrances enhance your confidence and sexuality, others might make you look a bit
aggressive so be careful while choosing one for the seven to eight hour job shift.
Also check whether your organisation has a no-strong-fragrance policy keeping in mind sensitive and allergic employees. Image consultant Heena Somani Shares, “For office, always choose something light and refreshing and avoid fragrances that are overpowering as some people are allergic to strong smells. It is also about respecting your co-workers while smelling good.”
Fragrance basics
Everything from dressing, jewellery to fragrance has a general rule. Both men and women should spray deodorant or perfume twice for the workplace.
Heena shares, “At least spray twice to smell good. You can spray more than twice while heading outdoor for a party or an event. Consider vanilla, wood or musk scents mostly for night as they enhance feminine appeal.”
The power of unisex perfumes
Actor Mehr Mahajan says, “I really like unisex perfumes. If I am headed for a formal meeting, I wear a mild citrus perfume as it doesn’t smell repelling. I make sure of keeping away from fruity fragrances.” Sharing a quick gift tip, Mehr says, “Perfumes are personal gifts so avoid gifting it to them who are not close to you. Make sure to keep their gender, personality and likes and dislikes in mind. Gifting a unisex perfume never goes wrong.”
Actor Bhakti Kubavat says, “Opt for floral fragrances and if headed for a meeting, try a perfume that is mild. Complimenting on good fragrance is a great idea but asking which perfume one has applied is intervening personal space.”
