and is loved for his work on the small screen,

as well as Gujarati space. On the ongoing topic of nepotism and depression, many stars have put forth their thoughts on the subjects and so when ETimes asked Anshul about the same, he too exclusively opened up about his opinion about nepotism.

Talking about nepotism, Anshul said, "If I talk about a broader perspective, I would say, favouritism exists but nepotism doesn’t. Nepotism is partiality to a family and our urban Gujarati film industry is not even a decade old for it to exist. But honestly, if you ask me, I would say favouritism or nepotism is very human. Of course, there are artists who despite being brilliant, miss out on opportunities but eventually the market decides everything. Water finds its level. If you feel you deserve it, become part of the game and play the game. Quitting isn’t an ideal way of dealing with it."

The star adds, "I have been a victim of favouritism but not nepotism. The only way of dealing with it is by not fighting it. You have to run your own race and hope to be in a position one day where you aren’t affected by it."

Sharing his views on mental health problems, the actor says, "First of all, as a society, we need to stop labeling ‘depression’ as a disease or illness. It’s a disorder and needs to be treated like one. The very definition of the word ‘disorder’ is irregularity, disturbance, or interruption of normal function. It needs to be corrected, not cured."

Further, admitting that he did lose hope once, Anshul said, "I did feel the loss of hope. It happens. At times we do feel that nothing is going to work out. The future seems uncertain. I deal with it by not dealing with it. I remind myself, ‘this too shall pass’."
