Dr. Darshan Ashwin Trivedi’s films go global: This is a matter of pride for Gujarati cinema

’s film 'Mara Pappa Superhero' has just been selected for the 20th Dhaka International Film Festival. Besides this, the film has received an official nomination from the San Diego International Kids Film Festival, Kids First Film Festival, London Indian Film Festival, 34th International Film Festival for Children and Youth, Iran, DYTIATKO International Children’s Media Festival, Ukraine, Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, 20th Annual Tiburon International Film Festival and Bollywood Film Festival of Norway.

Speaking to ETimes exclusively about his recent achievement, Darshan mentions, "I am elated to hear about the festival, which has been honoring some of the best films for long. This is a matter of pride for Gujarati cinema. The film continues to get recognition internationally. Both my films have been selected in more than 17 film festivals in eight different countries. Couldn't have asked for more."

Earlier, his other film 'Mrugtrushna' was nominated for Chicago South Asian Film Festival, 33rd International Film Festival for Children and Youth, Iran, Moscow International Children’s Film Festival, UK Asian Film Festival, International Film Festival of South Asia, Toronto, Indian Film Festival of Alberta and Caleidoscope Indian Film Festival of Boston.
