Monal Gajjar will be seen in
Petipack opposite
Dhvanit Thaker. The film is about a story that tries to break gender stereotypes albeit in a light-hearted and humourous way.
Talking about it, Monal says, “When it comes to marriage, there are so many stereotypes that women have to face, no matter how educated or independent they are.
And none of those things apply to men. This is what this film is looking at.” Talking about the Gujarati film industry’s new exciting phase, Monal says, “Our industry is at a stage where filmmakers are ready to take on serious subjects and are not afraid to experiments with genres. Our audience has also evolved and with the recent success of some Gujarati films, the expectations are high. Now the industry is looking at exploring content that will engage and entertain. A story has to have more layers to it.”
