Bhaumik Sampat on his debut 'Bhagwan Bachave': I always wanted to be a movie star

Actor Bhaumik Sampat is back with a new project after receiving a lot of attention and appreciation from the audience for his recent web series. Yes, you read that right. This time, the actor makes his directorial debut with the film 'Bhagwan Bachave.' In an exclusive conversation with ETimes, actor Bhaumik opened up about his new film, donning the director's hat, and much more.
Speaking about his directorial ambition Bhaumik shared, "I am here to make good quality Gujarati cinema and I want to catapult our cinema at world cinema level.I am here to stay. Gujarati cinema has given me a new lease and I shall deliver the best I can. Currently, I am making a movie titled 'Bhagwan Bachave' under my banner. Me and Jhinal Belani have directed it. It will be my debut in Gujarati movies."
"Earlier, I have made 2 web series and garnered good reviews and this made me more confident to make a movie because that's what I am born for. I always wanted to be a movie star. I hope with this I do justice to my dreams and people here accept me in this industry"
He further talks about the film, "This project was in our mind for a year but due to the pandemic we had kept this on hold. Meanwhile, we made two web series for OTTs but now was the time to make it. Slowly we made a team and the process started. The shoot ran for 18 days and songs are still to be shot. Every single day is a memory for me as I am living my dream. My energy on the movie set changes drastically and this is what I wanted to do all my life."
Sharing his thoughts on directing the film and acting at the same time he says, "Not at all easy but I can say my practical schooling since many years made it. Also with the support of Jhinal and Tapan Vyas I could pull this off."
"I am playing a character named Jatin Desai who is a recovery agent but is a fantastic son, he does everything just to keep his mother happy. A soft guy by heart but strong by profession," he added giving a peek into his character in the film.
