After teaming up with Hitu Kanodia and Mona Thiba in the acclaimed film Saajan Tane Mara Sam, Gujarati filmmaker Bapodra is back with his big screen offering Vishwassghat. However, unlike his previous Dhollywood outing, which was based on a rural backdrop and storyline, the story of Vishwasghat offers a lot of twists. Says Bapodra, Unlike what people generalise about Dhollywood movies, there is demand for typical Gujarati potboilers which do well.
However, what one needs to know is where to market ones film. All Gujarati films are not meant for the urn am multiplex consumption is what many in the industry need to know. Once a clearcut strategy is applied and positioning is done properly, a film can do well.
Bapodra feels, Vishwasghat is meant for all target groups and is a perfect entertainer. While Hitu Kanodias star appeal and the buzz surrounding his character in the film has garnered many eyeballs, it will be interesting to see the kind of impact that the movie is going to make.
