Audience should encourage Gujarati movies: Siddharth Randeria

Siddharth Randeria, who had a super fun and successful '

Gujjubhai

play tour' in USA got all occupied with promotion of '

Natsamrat

' as soon as he came back. Talking about the movie, he shares, "Many people in the industry have been asking me if it is remake of the Marathi movie. But this

movie

is inspired from Marathi play 'Natsamrat' that was written over 50 years back – and almost 25 years back, we staged the Gujarati version of the same play with the title ‘

Amari Duniya Tamari Duniya

’. This play has been staged over 450 times and even on broadcasting site, it has over 6 lakhs’ view and counting. Now as we are filming it, we have ensured to adapt it in current 2018 frame."
He raises his concern about non-acceptance of movies by Gujaratis. "The only thing that is a barrier for success of Gujarati movies is viewers not encouraging the movies. Prekshako ni udaaseenta nade chhe films ni safalta ma. I hope the audience head to screens and give the much required push to Gujarati movie industry towards success."
