Ahmedabad International Children Film Festival wraps up its 5th edition with glorious award night

The Ahmedabad International Children Film Festival (AICFF) concluded its highly successful 5th edition on December 8th, 9th, and 10th at the esteemed Ahmedabad Management Association.

Celebrating young talent, creativity, and global culture, the festival emerged as a potent platform for youth expression, fostering positive societal change.

AICFF witnessed a significant surge in participation this year, receiving 90-plus films from 24 diverse countries, showcasing an array of cinematic artistry from nations like Iran, Italy, India, the United States, Japan, and many more.

Commencing with the Persian language film 'Balit,' the festival's grand opening saw Bollywood luminary Pavan Malhotra as the esteemed chief guest, alongside Japanese filmmaker Fumie Nishikawa. The eventful days unfolded with captivating film screenings from around the world and enriching masterclasses featuring filmmaker Pankaj Roy, film critic Deepak Dua, and festival Director Manish Saini.

The festival culminated with the screening of the Gujarati film 'Mara Pappa Superhero,' graced by the entire film team, eliciting an overwhelming response from the audience. The closing ceremony witnessed the presence of Master Manjunath from 'Malgudi Days,' commending the festival's organization and advocating for its expansion nationwide.

The award night saw celebs like Shiladitya Bora, Abhisekh Jain, Ajitpal Singh, and Vishesh Agrawal, acknowledging and celebrating remarkable talent through the presentation of awards. Over three days, the festival showcased 27 international films, drawing in an impressive audience of over 7,000 attendees.
