Usually it is the parents who keep a tab on what their children are posting online and how much time they are spending online, but just once in a while we become parents to our parents who are in most cases not as hand-on as us (the millennials). Actor
Aarohi Patel who has been spending a lot of time at home owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, took up the challenge to teach her father director, producer Saandeep Patel, how to use streaming platforms on his mobile phone.
“During the lockdown I spent a lot of time at home, which I usually don’t get, so I took up the challenge to teach my dad how to use streaming platforms on his phone. Since my father is not very hands on and comfortable with a laptop or television, he likes to watch content on his phone and given the lockdown he had a lot of time to watch his favourite films and shows. He feels it’s easier to just pick up the phone and watch a video or movie than switching on a laptop or television,” says Aarohi.
Previously, the Montu Ni Bittu actress has also taught her father how to use social media. “Previously, I have taught him how to use social media and even today, almost every single night I tell him what to post and what not to on social media. This is one discussion where we have a lot of arguments too. Usually, it’s the parent who tells the child what to post on social media and keeps a check, but our case, the tables have completely turned. Though, I keep a check, never listens to me and ends up posting what he wants to,” Aarohi laughs.
