My mom and I are a dream team for a director: Aarohi Patel

Aarohi Patel considers herself one lucky woman and she gets to work with her mother actor, producer, Aarti Vyas Patel on most of her projects. This Mother’s Day, she spoke to us about what it’s like to share screen space with her mom.

On their on-screen chemistryWe have done Aum Mangalam Singlem, Love Ni Bhavai, Kadak Mitthi and a few ad films together. It is so comfortable to work with her. The chemistry is so on-point that for any maker who is directing our scene together, it's going to be the quickest scene to be shot ever by any actors working together.

On becoming like her mother
I think over the years I can see more and more traits of my mother in me. I learnt how to be patient thanks to her calming presence. I am a lot like her these days I-prefer cleanliness everywhere, am more independent, focused about what I want, have my priorities right . I am very proud to have become like her.

On learning time management from her mom
Mom's time management, both in professional and personal life, is commendable. She can work on four things at a time and does everything perfectly. It’s tough for me to multitask. It’s something I need to learn for her.

On her plans for Mother's Day
I won’t be home today as I am shooting. Our Mother’s Day ritual is to order some lavish breakfast and have coffee together. I’ll miss it today.
