Multi-tasking is important in glam-world: Dhwani Gautam

Dhwani Gautam has his hands full for 2016. The director-actor of Romance Complicated fame has three more directorial plans for 2016, namely Patel Vs Patrick, Tu Toh Gayo and Heer. He has recently signed singer Darshan Raval as the male lead for his project Patel Vs Patrick. Dhwani has both acted in and directed Romance Complicated. He shares, "I don't just put up the narration of my movie and direct it, but I prefer to poke my nose in each and every division of the movie making process.Be it co-producing, understanding light set-up, costumes, cinematography, editing or any other section, I have made sure that I have worked in them all. It is important to multi-task in glam-world. It keeps you sorted in difficult situations and in case you are short-staffed, you can exert yourself to a couple of more tasks.”
Another interesting point to be noted about this director is that the actresses in his movies are vital parts of the story too. He tells us, “The actresses in my films are there in the movie not just as pretty faces, they play important characters and have a lot to offer in the story. Many film-makers have their actresses just as pretty faces to show that it’s a love-story. I want to break that prejudice.”
